Hi Fionn,
I too have a Warwick 4x4 series, built 1994, however I am trying to find out how many of these vehicle were actually made! I have emailed Warwick 4x4 several times and had no reply. As a fellow owner I thought you may know.

Subject: Your landrover
Message Hi - hope you don't mind me bothering you - I was searching for info on
land rovers and came across your site:
I also have a hybrid series 3 running a 2 1/4 petrol converted to LPG. You
say you have a 2.5litre from a defender in yours - did this drop straight
in as a replacement to the 2 1/4 petrol? will it mate up to the existing
series gearbox?
Cheers
Mark
I do not have much access to my Land Rover now, my daughter uses it all the time.
I do not have much specialist knowledge, I got Steve Graham, up near Hartlepool, to put the engine in, he runs a Land Rover restoration business.
Having said that he did not cut anything away from the bulkhead or move the radiator to make room but he might have had to modify the mountings. If he did then, so far as I know it was nothing major.
Again with the gear box there might have been an adaptor but it would have been an off the shelf adaptor because when we replaced the gear box I did not see anything which seemed unusual or out of place.
The best person to ask would be Frank King of the Series III club (landrover.series3@btinternet.com) or Bob at Fourmost 4X4 (0115 9442961). Although he has a Land Rover garage, not a franchise, he is very helpful when it comes to giving advice and would quite happily build you an engine although he wanted to put an Isuzu engine in. He put one into my brother-in-laws 90 and it was faster and better on fuel consumption.

Sorry to take so long to reply. I am just back from holiday and have had to build a new computer. It is not the building that takes time but the re-loading of all the programs.
Changing Land Rover engines is a common enough pass time now so with any luck Frank King at the Series III Club could help you. Failing that there is always Paddocks on 01629 584499 sales@paddockspares.com or :-
Simmonites on 01274 833351 or Craddocks on 0845 4502 861, I have not used these two so I do not know much about them.
Good luck
Send me a picture(s) and I will put it on the website

I have a '94 soft-dash LSE, which is brilliant, and a 91 3.9 Vogue with which I have a love/hate relationship. I'm surprised how much the air compressor runs when you start the car - mine seems to run almost continuously for 3-4 minutes (I do always lower it when parking to help the wife and dog get in and out so perhaps this is why). Is yours the same?

I'm a new owner and am learning more each day love to drive my landy every day, and my 3 kids love it too. She hasnt got a name yet although a few drivers have called she some that I cannot put in to an email, mostly its when they get behind her going up hill. The kids play a game and see how many cars we can get behind us on a long journe,y its amazing because the kids never get travel sickness any more.
Keep up the good work on the site and of cause on Gromet I'll email you again when I can think of a name for her and hopefully a picture of her when I have her paint work finished.

Stumbled across your site entirely by accident - looking for Nottingham Landrover Club Site... Very pretty. Must have taken a while. Nice red Landy. Cool... I am half way through a rebuild - ground up. Going nicely. Got it down to ground level - copious use of angle grider has helped considerably. Worried about what colour to paint it. Either Bronze Green (common) or coal fire orange. I have been canvassing opinions... any thoughts? Again, nice looking site.

Help ! I own a 1972 s111 lwb station waggon, and it is a state of distress. The g/box keeps loosing it's oil & I have been told the layshaft nut is loose - the o/drive jumps into neutral, g/box noisey, there is an oil leak from the fuel pump area, & I have had the oil seal fail on the o/s front, making breaking when cold quite interesting. The chassis, engine, springs etc. are in excellent condition, all the dorr tops are very poor and the interior is very tatty - except for the 2nd row seats ( new 3yrs ago). My garage (who mainly repair l/r for the army in Preston) have advised selling. I am reluctant to do this & would like to hav it refurbished - I don't have the facillities or time to do it myself.
your thoughts would be appreciated
Thanks

My kitchen window is facing "Scalloway Harbor" + "Beryl" ( as in "The Peril" ) my series 111, was owned by a chap in Scalloway.
If ever you are passing this way again just pop along you cant miss our house with the GPO yellow Landrover sitting outside.
I`am in the process of giving Beryl a reel good face lift at the present and will send you a photo of the finished product, she has never been the same since the previous owner put her in the LRO ( DEC 98 ).
I think she has a "Attitude" since then, in fact that could be the reason she is so awkward sometimes.
